My name's Kyra.

I'm an artist and writer, 25 years old, bisexual, Pagan, and feminist. I have three cats, two sisters (of sorts), and a brother. I live in Minnesota.

My current favorite thing in the universe is Transformers, and fanfiction thereabout. G1, Movieverse, and elements of IDW, specifically, but I tend to snag a little bit of everything, magpie-like, to assemble a mostly-coherent personal canon that mostly lives in my head and keeps me happy and sane (while I'm not one of those people who can claim that keeping them occupied is necessary to keep the world safe from accidental destruction via hadron collider mishaps, time-travel experiments or rampaging zombies, there is the occasional "oooh, this is interesting . . ." and bad things happen). I write fanfic, usually Transformers but a few other things as well; it mostly lives in communities; I draw fan art, and it mostly lives in my sketchbooks 'cause scanners are apparently allergic to me. Working on it.

My second favorite thing in the universe is driving. Preferably at speeds no speed limit sign has ever contemplated authorizing, but I don't do that much. Not on public roads, in any case, 'cause, yeah. Speeding tickets, accidents, do not want. Cop cars are sexy (Charger, wow, *purrrr*), but they're like big cats that way---not as much fun when they decide you look like dinner. My third favorite thing, following in this vein, is sports cars. Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, Audi TT & A8, Nissan GT-R, Lamborghini Murcielago, Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg CCXR. *PURRRR* If it looks sexy and goes fast, I want behind the wheel, liek nao. I want to give it a bath and a wax coat. If there's someone around worth fucking, I want to have sex on the hood. One of these would be the most awesome thing to do ever. Or these. Or renting a Lamborghini in Germany and hitting the Autobahn for awhile. Failing that, a good country road or an interstate is paradise itself.

As can be surmised, I'm on kind of an automotive kink just now---'scuse me, automotive kick, leaving the Freudian slip there because, well, it's kind of accurate. My second-favorite fandom at the moment is the new Knight Rider. As with the old Knight Rider, the sexiest character on the show (by far) is KITT.

Keeping with the theme here, I'm an amateur student of auto mechanics, with the long-term goal of being able to do everything a car could ever need if given the proper equipment and the short-term goal of obtaining a car of my own to learn about. I hate with a passion any manifestation of sexism pertaining to mechanical skills or driving abilities---because it kept me from seeking out this type of knowledge when I first tried to do so, when I wasn't strong enough to deal with it, and I still haven't achieved all that I should have gotten then.

Second big thing to know about me: I'm an artist. Pen-and-ink drawings, calligraphy, oil painting and ceramics are my preferred media; I also do pencil drawing and make attempts at digital artwork. Dichroic glass fascinates me, but I haven't done anything with it yet.

Incidentally, I'm a butterfly personality (or a Fireflight personality, if you will) in that I flit from project to project and interest to interest, getting lost in thought or distracted by something shiny at the drop of a hat. My brain takes up not only my head but numerous notebooks and sketchbooks and wordprocessor documents, and at any given time on the computer I have enough different programs and windows and tabs running that I occasionally risk freezing it. I write fanfiction and poetry, make whatever strikes my fancy in Photoshop, play with fractal generators, and keep web pages up for days on end because I like what's on them.

I love things that are beautiful or powerful or both, and tend not to mind if it's dangerous (aside from---mostly---backing off to something approaching the recommended distance, so long as I can still see). I like thunderstorms, tornadoes, volcanoes, big cats, trains, steam-powered machines (the bigger the better), fire, and lightning, and where other people tend to be backing away or running for cover, I tend to be looking closer and going "Ooooh, pretty!" This works with everything from bumblebees getting inside to the sky turning green and clouds starting to rotate. (Yes, I do have a sense of self-preservation, and it functions---but the deadly stuff is still pretty.)

Fandoms I'll Write: Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Star Wars, Forgotten Realms, Hogan's Heroes, Dukes of Hazzard, M*A*S*H, Knight Rider, Dark Angel, Good Omens, Earth's Children, Kushiel's Legacy, Cast In Shadow, Batman, Tomb Raider, Aeon Flux, Indiana Jones, The Bone Doll's Twin, Ouran High School Host Club, Witch Hunter Robin, Kim Possible, The Replacements, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and crossovers between The Emperor's New School and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, with London replacing Kuzco.
